ABOUT
Aion Energy LLC (Aion) provides strategic consulting to the energy industry, focusing on the optimization of planning, development, procurement, contracting, and operating activities. Founded by Scott Leigh and Roger Nagel, Aion (pronounced “ion”) brings over 40 years of experience to support utilities, developers, municipalities, universities, schools, hospitals, commercial and industrial entities, and other energy producers and consumers. Spanning supply, transmission and distribution, and demand‐side functions, Aion provides holistic program management to energy clients considering organizational drivers, market trends, and end‐user implications.
CONSULTANTS
Roger is a principal at Aion Energy and brings over 29 years of international energy industry design and consulting experience with a wealth of insight applicable to development, decision making and structuring of client programs. Roger has served as a design engineer, consultant and consulting lead, owner's engineer, and power engineering practice lead. His areas of expertise involve feasibility studies, system optimization, procurements, financial analysis, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations. Roger has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
Scott is a principal at Aion Energy and has been engaged in consulting and engineering activities in the energy industry for more than 12 years. Scott is focused on providing program management to entities as the industry transforms and evolves, bringing power plant experience, design experience, and experience associated with leading a strategic consulting practice. Scott is heavily engaged in commercial, financial, and regulatory activities including long-term planning, studies, negotiations, and filings. Scott has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Bill Damon is Aion Energy's advisory board chairman and is a recognized energy professional with extensive experience in strategic project development, analysis, and design for the Power and Energy Industry. Over his 40 plus years of experience, Bill has helped his clients adapt to the transformative and disruptive factors impacting business models and markets. His experience covers a broad range of technology applications from solid fuel-fired projects to advanced cycle natural gas-fired projects to renewables and distributed energy resources (DER). Bill has focused on being an Owner’s Engineer, consultant and trusted advisor to domestic and international power clients ranging from independent power producers, investor owned utilities, municipalities, universities, and industrial clients. His experience includes ownership of an Engineering Consulting firm and serving as an Independent Board member in the Oil & Gas industry.
